QUALITY DRIP EDGE is textured or smooth, comes in a variety of colors to match your shingles or fascia, overhangs the sides of the roof, has a small metal flange that is bent away from the fascia and a hem for strength.

Roofing Accessories

Impact Resistant Shingles

Impact-resistant asphalt roofing shingles are specially-engineered products designed to withstand the impact of hail, which can damage a shingle and lead to leaks. While all shingles offer some level of impact resistance, only the most durable are marketed and sold as impact-resistant shingles.

Shingles are given a class rating on a scale of one to four (with four being the best) that is based on the steel ball drop test, which simulates the damage from hail impact. Most shingles are considered impact resistant if they are Class 4; however, some are considered impact resistant at Class 3.

Class 1 – Sample did not crack when hit twice in the same spot by a steel ball 1.25 inches in diameter.
Class 2 – Sample did not crack when hit twice in the same spot by a steel ball 1.50 inches in diameter.
Class 3 – Sample did not crack when hit twice in the same spot by a steel ball 1.75 inches in diameter.
Class 4 – Sample did not crack when hit twice in the same spot by a steel ball 2.0 inches in diameter.

Malarkey Vista (class 3)
Malarkey Legacy (class 4)
CertainTeed Climate Flex (4)
CertainTeed Northgate(4)

PROS – longer life, replacement not necessary when most roofs will, discounts offered by some carriers.

CONS – cost more money and in some cases where hail size is too small to break “IR” shingles but large enough to cause esthetic damages , the insurance company will not pay for a new roof. However, the hail can be vig enough to merit replacement

Owning a home with a flat roof or a roof that has very little pitch needs a roofing system that is built for the job. Most manufacturers of composition shingles do not recommend shingles on a 3/12 or lower pitched roof.

Base & Cap and triple layer LOW SLOPE roof systems
“Base and Cap” roofing systems are superior to single layer “rolled roofing”.
and can also be part of a built up system including 3 layers. The “B&C” roof system is made specifically for LOW SLOPE roofs at 3/12 to 1/12 roof pitch.

TPO (white and gray)

TPO membranes are highly durable.

They hold up well to long-term exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet light, and are highly resistant to puncturing, tearing, or water damage and are even resistant to bacterial growth and dirt buildup, so it will be easier for you to keep your roof clean.

TPO comes in reflective white and Grey and is attached with a glue down method and or mechanically attached with screws and washers

Elastomeric & Coatings Systems

Elastomeric Roof Coating is a liquid-applied coating (typically made from either silicone or acrylic) that cures into a durable, highly elastic membrane when it dries. The elastic quality makes it easy to apply to most roof surfaces such as metal and is highly adaptable to a wide range of weather conditions. Some systems have special materials for seams and screws.

PROOF CONSTRUCTION HAS CREWS THAT SPECIALIZE IN ALL 3 SYSTEMS. Let us discuss your flat or low slope roof and discuss the pros and cons of each system and recommend a roof system that works best for your home.

Standing seam
A.G. Panels

Metal Roofing is a beautiful way to compliment your home , standing structure or patio cover.
The main benefit of metal roofing is Durability.

If installed correctly, some metal roofs can sustain wind gusts up to 140 miles per hour, will not corrode or crack and may be impact-resistant (depending on which product you choose). In addition, metal roofs come in many colors to choose from and don’t require periodic costly maintenance that other roofing materials often require.

Metal Panels come in many profiles as well, the most popular being A.G., R Panel and Standing Seam and has 2 ways of safely fastening using exposed and hidden fasteners.

Our Metal Panels come from METAL PANELS INC.. Metal Panels Inc. is a quality manufacturer of metal roofing and siding products, meeting the needs of the Metal Roofing, Metal Buildings since 2001.

Our Metal Installers are top notch and some of our jobs will be featured in MPI’s 2024 calendar.

Proof Construction offers RESIDENTIAL, AGRICULTURAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND COMMERCIAL panels, custom trims, underlayments, proper fastening systems as well as installation methods that are superior to most Metal installers.

How much shake can a wood shake shake?

Having a wood shake roof can be no laughing matter due to the fact they are costly to replace due to the fact they require new decking as the wood shakes or shingles were installed on spaced batten strips. This also means that it can also be very messy inside the attic and landscape due to falling debris during the removal process.
Replacement Preparation and Planning

  1. Our cover up specialist will protect garage door , a/c units & possible windows with plywood
  2. Tarps are placed around entire perimeter to protect landscaping and catch debris.
  3. ATTIC SPACE IS TARPED including any personal property being stored.
  4. Yard is raked with a magnet for staples and nail after install and then AGAIN on following day.
  5. All HVAC, hot water heater and dryer vent pipes are all checked to make sure they are sealed properly after install.

At Proof Construction we take the roofing process seriously as to ensure a beautiful long lasting roof that is water tight to protect you and your family for years to come.

Our process first starts off with a representative starting a pre check list of items to be concerned about including , decking , chimney or roof to wall issues , logistics,.

A cover up plan is also made for laying tarps all around the entire perimeter to protect landscape, bushes and A.C.

We also make a list of all items to be moved under cover or away from the job as well as paying special attention to children and pets and providing a game plan for complete property and personal safety.

We will also take pictures of your property to provide documentation of the “BEFORE and AFTER” condition of gutters, siding , outside personal property and hot water heater & HVAC pipes for your protection and to provide any code or completion photos to your carrier.

Proof Construction will then Professionally replace your roof in most cases in 1 day. On the day of installation, we ask to remove all vehicles from the garage and driveway by 7am of the day of installation. You may also remove vehicles prior to the installation day, as we will back our dump trailer up to the house to throw debris directly into the trailer.

Roofers will MAGNET RAKE the yard and flower beds to remove any old fasteners or nails that may have slipped into grass or bushes.

PROF CONSTRUCTION will look over the yard and job the following day and perform a second magnet rake to property as a precaution. We will also take photos of all work performed and overall condition of checklist items.

Proof Construction will then perform and take final pictures of all additional work on contract or claim including but not limited to gutters , paint , sheetrock screens , garage doors , metal panels, fencing, staining, HVAC combing , siding and windows. Our office will then invoice your insurance and or Mortgage company providing all evidence for code upgrades and completion letters.
